Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Degree Index, operated by Paul Azzopardi trading as Degree Index (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this site you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Degree Index provides a graduate return-on-investment and AI-automation risk calculator based on publicly available data (DfE LEO 2023–24, ONS ASHE 2025). The tool produces illustrative projections — not financial advice. Outputs depend on the inputs you provide and on historical salary data that may not reflect your individual circumstances.

We offer a free tier showing summary results and a paid Career Blueprint unlock (currently £9.99) that reveals the full 30-year projection, year-by-year breakdown, and export features.

2. Not financial advice

Nothing on Degree Index constitutes financial, career, or educational advice. The projections are based on median outcomes and statistical models — your actual earnings, loan balance, and career trajectory will differ. You should not make significant financial or life decisions based solely on this tool. We accept no liability for decisions made in reliance on our outputs.

3. Accounts and purchases

You may create an account using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Career Blueprint purchases are one-time payments and non-refundable once the full report has been accessed, unless required by applicable consumer law. If you have a problem with a purchase, contact us at hello@degreeindex.co.uk.

4. Google Sheets export

The “Export to Google Sheets” feature requests permission to create a spreadsheet in your Google Drive on your behalf. We only create files — we do not read, modify, or delete any existing files in your Drive. You can revoke this permission at any time via your Google Account settings.

5. Intellectual property

The Degree Index name, logo, and site content are our intellectual property. The underlying salary and AI-risk data is sourced from publicly available government datasets (DfE, ONS) and is used in accordance with the Open Government Licence v3.0. You may not reproduce or redistribute our derivative analysis without permission.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Degree Index to scrape data at scale, attempt to circumvent the paywall by technical means, or use the service in any way that violates applicable law. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that breach these terms.

7. Availability and changes

We provide the service on a best-efforts basis and do not guarantee uptime. We may update the salary data, methodology, or features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of any changes that materially affect paid users.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of Degree Index is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or speculative losses.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
